Our 3D AOI, 3D CT X-ray, Sasino Ant-i1 Selective Solder and full lot traceability provide first-pass yields above 95%. Continuous investment in next-gen SMT lines and process automation ensure performance whether the boards end up in an operating room, on the flight line or downrange.

VP & GENERAL MANAGER
Leading Lonestar EMS, Mary Sommer has overseen significant investments in new manufacturing equipment, including automated storage systems and SMT pick-and-place machines. These investments have helped improve the company’s efficiency, quality and ability to meet customer certification requirements. She is a strategic, data-driven leader who is working to lead Lonestar EMS into the future as a reliable collaborator for its partners.
MICHAEL KLUTTS
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Michael brings more than 30 years of experience in the electronics and contract manufacturing industries to his role. He previously owned and operated his own successful telecom business, and is passionate about providing top-notch customer service and leveraging his technical expertise to help clients optimize their products and manufacturing processes. Outside of work, Michael enjoys architecture and has designed all of his own homes.
ANN BERRY
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Ann Berry has 30 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, including 25 years in contract manufacturing. She began her career in the warehouse, advanced into purchasing and transitioned into Account Management, where she has excelled for more than 12 years. Her purchasing expertise spans both electronic and mechanical components, catering to diverse industries including the demanding land and offshore drilling industry. Her extensive knowledge and hands-on experience make her a trusted partner for all of our clients.
TIM TSUI
QUALITY ENGINEER
Tim has worked in Manufacturing and Engineering for over 40 years, as well as in the commercial, medical and military industries. Tim’s extensive experience guides clients toward data-driven decisions and improvements that ensure success. His communication skills and close client relationships have strengthened the Quality Department.
Andrew S. Vavrinak M.S.
Chemical & Process Engineer
Andrew is a multi-discipline chemist with more than 10 years of practical experience. His interdisciplinary approach supports various applications within Lonestar EMS, such as process improvement and failure analysis. Andrew is also a recognized member of Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honors Society and the American Chemical Society. On top of his EPA, ACS, CLIA and COLA certifications, he holds Specialist Certifications in IPC-600 series, J-standard, including the Space Addendum.
CHRIS SEQUEIRA
PROCESS & DOCUMENTATION ENGINEER
Chris is a manufacturing engineer and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with extensive expertise in aligning automation, quality, and operations. His experience includes successfully leading a $1.2M DeltaV control system upgrade and salvaging a delayed $2.5M lab development project. Chris is also the holder of a U.S. patent for a fluid regulator vent-limiting device. His strong focus on cross-functional collaboration and systems thinking allows him to drive solutions that meet both engineering and business objectives effectively.
